I think its time to self-publish

To the many people that helped bring this book into being
and hopefully the full trilogy. The Nelson's of Wyoming,
to the Scymanski's of Kansas or the Woods of Tennessee.
It was my pleasure to sit amongst friends and
weave stories of knights vs dragons.

Over the last year my account was hacked even this
blog was in doubt and recently recovered. I have
tried to establish myself on facebook and have found
most of my 'friends' there are people that I have worked
with, schoolmates or family.

I have many redundant copies of the book and the trilogy
is not complete so its kinda useless to anybody else.
Mostly I wrote this blog to remember and honor those
that helped make 'Mythas' possible. 'Mythas' is what I
call the fantasy world that my brother and I imagined
in youth.

It is where many stories of fantasy have been woven.
The plan is over the next few weeks a book of
short stories called 'Tales of Mythas' will be self-published.
It will feature 'Michael Crucible's Last Stand', 'Andar the
Farmer' and more. It will set the stage for some
who wish a 'deeper understanding' of how Mythas
came to be when The Brothers Jade takes place.

The Brothers Jade is the first book of 'The Drink
of the Gods Trilogy'. Michael Crucible and 'He
Who is Not Named' have left Mythas forever banished
by the Archmages after their mutual deaths.

This is a tale of divinity that begins
with Hezikiah and Lawrence Jade. They are
two young mages who find themselves embroiled
in the Prophecies of Michael Crucible.

One mage of enchantments and charms- Hezikiah and
the other of war-magicks or invocation. Together
they save the life of the first of the New Gods-
Sylvan the Bard who must tell the tale of ...
The Brothers Jade!

A crossroads in life...

I co-wrote The Brothers Jade with my brother Don. Don and I have had a falling out which has put the book we have written together in a horrible limbo. I will not be attending this years con as I have had to re-organize my life. My kids are grown and I have reached my 40's so in that effort I have tried to call forth those friends from every corner of every land I have come across seeking their counsel and trying to make contacts to help make this dream a reality.

The books are not really meant to be a financial godsend for myself- and I can't speak for my brother. To me the book was a 'cathartic' experience trying to relate to others the wonderful gaming events that we had with 'the group'. I have a job and it was a huge chore for me to begin my first novel with my brother. Of course I realized I was not as good as I had hoped to be needing to 'work my craft' to get better. Overall Don and I really enjoyed it but I fear if it is ever successful it could lead to the destruction of a fragile brotherly relationship to begin with. Don was and is always the main writer. Thats been his dream his whole life whereas I was more of the poet, the soldier and the computer repairman. I do see myself writing later in life- I had hoped after Don had legitimized himself and then I could follow suit.

We had went to the con the last two years and I almost felt I could go it alone with 'Project Zero'. It was a sci-fi game that was all mine and it has a blog all to itself. I had set a timetable for myself which I completely ignored. There is no excuse- I love to play massmorphs such as EQ and WoW and this took up my time. When I do write I tend to isolate myself- focused at the task at hand. Writing I can do- its the marketing and getting it published I now have a problem with. Anyway, this dream is not dead it has been stalled.
